I went into the bookstore to see if I had any hours to work next week... no. I was coming out of the back and had a conversation with the boss lady.
Boss Lady: Can you go to bag check?
Me: No, I am not working today.
Boss Lady: Then why were you in the back?
Me: I was looking at the schedule.
Boss Lady: Well there are no more hours for that many people
Me: Is there going to be any more hours any time soon?
Boss Lady: Not in the next few weeks, You were a good worker but there just isn't enough hours.
I found that conversation a bit patronizing I have been thinking about it since it happened.
Let me break it down:
When she saw me she asked me to go to a station meaning that she is not aware of who is working where at any particular time.
When I told her I was not working she asked me why was I in the back meaning if I am not working then I am not allowed in the back meaning that really anybody can just walk back there and no one will say anything cause there was no one back there when I walked in.
She then says that I was a good worker which would lead one to assume that she has paid attention to me work but then I thought about it some more.
She did not know I was not working back there, no one saw me walk in to the back but I am supposed to believe that she paid attention to me long enough to establish a judgement about my work ethics. I feel sorry for her thats her career and she sucks I was just a Temp.
